Design assessment centra
Buráňová, Pavla
Aim of this thesis was to design a new methodology for testing applicants for internship to the student volunteer organisation AIESEC. Based on document analysis followed by interviews with contemporary and former members of AIESEC, competencies of an ideal member of the organisation have been identified. Consequently, a competency model has been created. Model situations and event schedule have been prepared and evaluators have been trained for the assessment centre. The design of the assessment centre has then been tested during 7 sessions on total 41 participants - 12 men and 29 women, in the age from 19 to 24. During realization of the assessment centre, its concurrent validity with the NEO-PI-R inventory have been measured. Moderate correlations have been found, however, it has not been recommended to replace the assessment centre with this method. The designed model of the assessment centre has been discussed considering future utilization by the organisation, and limitations and recommendations have been defined.
